Riverwood is a movement, a revolution, a transformation, a destiny and a film future of limitless possibilities……the Riverwood ensemble is at the heart of this great vision. In a special event, the ensemble was launched in the presence of key government figures in the creative docket. Many Kenyans are aware of the vibrant and busy environment that has built the Riverwood film scene but the intricacies of where it has been and how it has to where it is remain unclear.
The history of Riverwood has many angles to it; it has many claims and lots of contradicting stories pointing to ownership of the genesis, the name and even the trade that is the film making and music production business. It has moved beyond who started it and settled on how the business of audio-visual distribution is happening in the country. The business model is being looked at in three levels of operations, production, marketing, distribution. For a long time, the issue of quality has never determined the success of a production.
